BEEP Doctors raise £881. The BEEP Doctors were invited by Marks and Spencer in Penrith to do a charity collection. Volunteers visited the store on Friday and Saturday and raised a fantastic £881. Twelve volunteer doctors from the Beep Fund Ltd, have received new kit thanks to funding from the public. The new flame retardant technical response suits, which will be worn by all doctors when they attend emergencies, uses the charity’s new branding, which was created earlier this year. The BEEP Fund Ltd is a registered charity and alongside the dedicated Doctors who are on-call 24/7 to help save lives, we also rely on the generosity of our supporters. It costs approximately £30,000 per year to run the BEEP Fund and we have raised over £350,000 in the 25 years since starting in 1994.… Read more »
At 19.15 on Thursday 18th July, a BEEP Dr attended 54 yr old lady that had fallen from a horse near Long Marton; she was treated at the scene before an NWAS ambulance arrived, & she was then transported by land ambulance to Carlisle for further treatment.
The BEEP Fund team of doctors are the backbone of the charity, always being on-call for whatever emergency call–out they are requested to attend in the region.
