As part of their anniversary celebrations, (20 years of the new clubhouse and 50 years of the pitch), Ian Davidson, President of Penrith RUFC presented a cheque for £250 to the BEEP Fund Ltd.
The BEEP Fund Ltd, which was set up in 1994, is a Cumbrian based charity. Their Doctors provide emergency medical care, whether that is on the roadside at the scene of a road traffic accident or in your home during a life-threatening emergency. Run by volunteers, as well as their unpaid team of ten Doctors, it costs £36,000 a year to keep The BEEP Fund Ltd. going, so contributions like this from the local community are greatly received and appreciated. BEEP values this support and fundraising activities with every penny raised going into running the BEEP Doctors vehicle, paying for its equipment and covering the costs of training the doctors doing this work. By supporting The BEEP Fund Ltd, donations like this are helping to save lives in our local community throughout Cumbria.
