• Pictures are useful as they can be sent with the casualty to hospital to give the doctors and nurses some idea of what the accident was like and the mechanisms of injury.
• They are also a useful record of the incident.
• We can use them as a tool for teaching and during fundraising talks.
We never take pictures while we are working on the casualties and we always respect their privacy. If possible, consent to take pictures is obtained from the people involved but always from the Police who control the scene. Usually pictures are taken after the casualties have left the incident..
